A pop-up of two contrasting colors (red & blue) rotating to create a soft vibration while in motion. Each side is comprised of a shade and a tint of each hue. Colors intended to merge two word associations: “Fridge” & “Furnace.”

A Cooper Union Solution. “Disengage,” is a stop-motion focused predominantly on releasing/unfastening/disengaging in any form.
This video originally started as an Artist-Emulation project (Emulating the New Zealand director/producer Wade Shotter) but then branched off into a full-fledged music video creation saga. The song is from the album: Alopecia, by Why? The outfit and picture frames are home-made “contraptions” and the frames are framing green-screens to get the effect of a video within a video.
A stop-motion animation looped to create the effect of a never-ending cycle in constant search of a beginning or end. The age-old favorite question, “Which came first, the chicken or the egg?” seemed quaintly appropriate.
